It’s a good question, glad you asked. This website is a way of combining and connecting the different things I do: Driving with Uber, writing a blog, promoting my book, “Driving On The Sunny Side With 10,000 Strangers”, and sharing my optimism of “Celebrating Strangers” and living on the sunny side of life.
My wife has said many times that everything is not “sunshine and rainbows,” and she is right, as usual. However, the most important thing is not what happens to you, but how you deal with the situation.
After giving over 14,000 Uber and Lyft rides since July of 2018, I have learned that we can make a big difference in each other’s life. A smile, a laugh, a compliment, can change our day. We live in difficult times and spreading some kindness and sunshine to others is something I enjoy doing and people enjoy receiving.
Mondays are my favorite day of the week and each Monday by 6 am, I will post a paragraph or two to put a smile on your face and help you get your week off to a good start. You can check it out any time you want and see what’s on my mind, and we’ll begin the week together by having a “Magnificent Monday”.
I now have 58 countries represented in my car. These are the last three pictured below: Kazakhstan, New Zealand, and South Korea.
Above is a picture of the inside of my car, my museum. As of October 1, 2024, I have a total of 58 countries represented. It started when a secret agent for our government gave me a bill from the South Sudan and I hung it up. My passengers started taking pictures and then giving me bills from their country or ones that they just visited.
Pictured in my car are famous people like: Gandhi, Queen Elizabeth, Winston Churchill, Mao, Nelson Mandela, and Saddam Hussein (not visible to riders).
This is the list of countries: South Sudan, South Africa, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Myanmar, India, Philippines, Columbia, Singapore, Haiti, Malaysia, Venezuela, Romania, Poland, Trinidad, Ethiopia, Chile, Albania, Scotland, Senegal, Georgia, Moldova, Italy, Honduras, Switzerland, Peru, Bulgaria, Argentina, Canada, Thailand, The Soviet Union, Cuba, Guatemala, Sierra Leonne, England, Nicaragua, Mexico, Bahamas, China, Brazil, Japan, Iceland, Ukraine, Saudi Arabia, Costa Rica, United Arab Emirates, Germany, Barbados, Iran, Egypt, Ecuador, Hungary, Uganda, Kazakhstan, Iraq, South Korea, New Zealand the Euro Bill (the European Union is technically not a country).
